Pastor Chris Cantrell

Pastor Chris Cantrell became the Pastor of Hope Baptist Tabernacle in January of 2003. He was saved in 1991, and surrendered to the call to preach in 1994. Pastor Cantrell attended Calvary Baptist Bible College in King, NC, where he graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Theology. Before becoming Pastor of Hope Baptist Tabernacle, he was the Youth Pastor of Turner’s Creek Baptist Church in Yadkinville, NC from 2000-2002. Pastor Cantrell was ordained to the Gospel Ministry while serving at Turner’s Creek Baptist Church.

Pastor Cantrell and his wife, Libby, have three children, Corey, Cassie, and Caleb. Corey married Charity Baker in June of 2011. Corey is the Associate Pastor of McLeansville Baptist Church in McLeansville, NC, where he and his wife are serving God faithfully together. Cassie married Allen Roberts in December of 2018. Allen is the Pastor of Emerald Coast Baptist Church in Miramar Beach, Florida. Caleb married Jess Hodgson and is currently on staff at Pensacola Christian College. Pastor Cantrell and his wife have five precious grandchildren.
